"Our" Missions
The Brothers are present in Africa with 8 Missions, two of which are in Kenya.
Currently, the Accanto a Kibera Association supports the Brothers in the Kibera and Isiolo Missions, with the desire to expand its efforts in the future wherever the Brothers operate around the world.
The New Life Home in Kibera
Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, is a metropolis with 5 million inhabitants, more than 60% of whom live in one of the over 100 slums that surround the city center.
Kibera is the largest of these, and one of the largest in Africa, with around 250,000 people living in 2.5 square kilometers.
The Brothers of Charity founded the first of the 8 homes in Africa within the Kibera slum.
