Mama's Rooms

This project is aimed at supporting single mothers living with their children in extreme poverty, often without a husband or family support, in overcrowded and inadequate shacks measuring just a few square meters and lacking basic services such as sanitation, windows, and, in some cases, electricity. Despite these difficult conditions, they are still required to pay rent and utility fees that place a significant burden on their limited resources.

Thanks to the donations raised during the summer of 2025, the Brothers' Congregation was able to build, in early 2026, a new housing compound in Kibera consisting of 10 permanent rooms constructed with stone blocks rather than corrugated metal sheets. The compound now provides safe accommodation for 10 mothers and their children. By living together within the same community, residents can support one another through mutual solidarity and cooperation, reducing isolation and creating a safer and more stable environment in which both children and adults can face the many challenges of life in Kibera.

Adopt 1 square meter

The project addresses the need to pave the schoolyard at Isiolo, which spans an area of 4,200 square meters. Currently, the courtyard is covered by a layer of dust which turns into mud during the rainy season. This condition compromises access to classrooms and the kitchen, effectively rendering the school structure unusable."

"The project's goal is to ensure the school is always accessible, guaranteeing regular attendance and the provision of daily meals to the students."

"The total estimate for the work, which also includes the refurbishment of the male restrooms, amounts to € 65,000. To date, €15,000 has been raised. For this purpose, a fundraising campaign is active under the slogan 'Adopt 1 square meter', with a unit cost set at €15 (via GoFundMe).
